This program is FREE for all pregnant women in Wyoming. We offer Presumptive Eligibility screening for Title XIX. We provide smoking cessation referral information and support as well as numerous community resources. We also discuss all of the free programs provided by the Maternal Child Health Department including; Best Beginnings, Nurse Family Partnership, Welcome Home, and Children’s Special Health.
Presumptive Eligibility (PE) for Pregnant Women is a Medicaid option designed to improve an applicant’s access to temporary Medicaid while their eligibility for full Medicaid benefits is being determined. Eligible pregnant women are limited to outpatient services through a Medicaid provider for up to 60 days after completing an application for Medicaid.

Wyoming Hand in Hand is a free, voluntary home visiting program available to all Natrona County mothers/families. This program provides visits by a Registered Nurse during pregnancy and throughout the first two years of the child’s life. A Registered Nurse can assess and answer questions related to pregnancy, delivery, postpartum, newborn care, and breastfeeding. Wyoming Hand in Hand improves birth outcomes, reduces rates of child abuse, strengthens families, enhances child health and development outcomes, and promotes family stability.

Children’s Special Health is a program for infants and children with special health care needs that require more than routine and basic care. CSH provides payment for specialty medical care and coordination of care for children with an approved condition and diagnosis. The Genetic Clinics are held at Casper-Natrona County Health Department.
