Vaccination waitlist for individuals with pre-existing conditions and people 65-70 now open

CASPER, WYOMING (February 8, 2021) – The Casper Natrona County Health Department has opened a vaccination waitlist for Casper residents 65-70 as well as people 16-65 with certain preexisting medical conditions, available online here.

“Casper’s response to vaccinations has been inspiring,” CNCHD Public Information Officer Hailey Bloom said. “Our entire community has been behind our efforts so strongly, and because of this, together we’re going to beat COVID,” she said.

Although vaccinations are currently only open to individuals 70 and over, Natrona County School District K-12 staff, healthcare workers and emergency responders, eligibility will soon expand to include individuals 65-70 and anyone 16-65 with the following pre-existing medical conditions: cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, solid organ transplant, sickle cell disease, down syndrome, diabetes, heart conditions, obesity, immunocompromised, stroke and dementia.

“We’re working to protect people who are most at risk for serious COVID-related complications, and that we’ll soon be opening vaccinations to these individuals means great things for our community,” Bloom said.

Phones at the CNCHD have been overwhelmed with calls inquiring about vaccination eligibility. In an effort to alleviate pressure on the phone lines, CNCHD staff request that anyone within this new group fill out this form to be added to the waitlist, and you will be contacted for an appointment as they come available.
