The Casper-Natrona County Health Department offers free Narcan training for individuals and groups in our community.
During this training, participants will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose, respond quickly and confidently, and properly administer Narcan in an emergency situation.
Individuals who complete the training will receive two doses of Narcan to carry and use in community emergency situations.
You don’t have to be a medical professional to save a life. Being prepared can make all the difference.
Fentanyl Test Strips
Fentanyl is a powerful opioid that is often mixed with other drugs without a person knowing. Even a tiny amount can cause an overdose.
Fentanyl test strips are small, easy-to-use tools that can check for the presence of fentanyl before a substance is used. Having this information can help prevent accidental overdoses and save lives.
The Casper-Natrona County Health Department provides free fentanyl test strips are available to anyone in our community in a confidential and judgment-free setting. Our goal is to keep our community informed, safe, and alive.

Problematic gambling is a serious public health concern that can impact individuals, families, and communities. While gambling is a common recreational activity for many people, it can become harmful when it begins to affect a person’s finances, relationships, emotional well-being, or daily life. Problematic gambling can happen to anyone, regardless of age, background, or income level, and recognizing the signs early can help individuals get the support they need.
Signs of problematic gambling may include spending more time or money gambling than intended, feeling unable to cut back or stop, using gambling as a way to cope with stress or emotions, experiencing financial difficulties, or hiding gambling habits from others. Support and resources are available, and seeking help is a positive step toward improving overall health and well-being.
Wyoming Gambling Peer Support Program
The Wyoming Gambling Peer Support Program provides free, confidential support for anyone in Wyoming who is struggling with problematic gambling. The program connects individuals with Certified Peer Specialists who have training and experience to provide understanding, encouragement, and support from someone who knows the challenges that can come with problematic gambling.
Participants have the opportunity to talk with someone who understands, receive personalized support, and work toward their goals in a safe and judgment-free environment. Services are completely free and confidential.
