community education

The Casper-Natrona County Health Department provides several topic-specific community-education programs.   Our most popular community-education program includes our CPR and First Aid Classes, click on the link below to view information about those classes.

As part of our Family Planning program, we provide evidence-based sexual health education to adults and adolescents.  We are able to provide one-time courses or a series of courses that are tailored to the needs of the specific audience. 

Our Maternal and Child Health Program offers quarterly Preparing for Parenthood classes, which are free to biological parents/grandparents, foster parents/grandparents, adoptive parents/grandparents, and other family members who may be responsible for infant care. 

The Environmental Health Division at the Casper-Natrona County Health Department offers food safety education to the public, to food service managers and staff, and to other groups upon request. 

The Casper-Natrona County Health Department houses the Wyoming AIDS Education and Training Center (WyAETC), a statewide resource for training healthcare providers and other allied health professionals on the educationg, counseling, and testing for HIV.  The goal of this program is to increase capacity for HIV counseling and testing statewide.
